The Leviathan melvillei

The OG killer whale. The Leviathan melvillei lived 13-14 million years ago. Recently, scientists discovered these giant teeth in their fossil records in the Pisco Basin in Peru.

The Leviathan -- an ancestor of the sperm whale -- apparently sat atop the marine animal food chain with the sharks as they apparently fed on other whales, most notably the smaller baleen whales.
